Part 1: What is Electrical Schematic Diagram?

Schematics use linesand symbols to convey complex information in a simple manner. Only the most significant and important parts of a system will be shown on schematics; it is not used to give detailed look at the system.

When we think of schematics, we often think of electronic schematics and circuit diagrams. However, they may also come in the form of subway maps and other everyday examples that we often come across, whether it be in business or education.

Schematics are useful for presenting information in a simple manner, while showing how they flow and relate to each other.

Part 3: Electrical Schematic Diagram Examples

Example 1: Electronic Schematic Diagram

Here is an example of an electronic schematic diagram. Only the most significant and important parts of a system will be shown in the schematic; it is not used to give a detailed look at the system.

Example 2: Schematic Diagram of a Start-stop Push-button Station

This is an example of an electronic schematic diagram for a stop-start push-button. This shows all of the main components in their electrical sequence. However, location and scale is not shown in the diagram. These schematics are particularly useful for maintenance purposes.
